Artist of the Month: The Lifeline

We have discussed the Lifeline at several points in the last few weeks, so it just seems logical that they would be our FIRST artist of the month. The Lifeline is a band that formed in 2004 and has gained the respect of the Chicago music scene. Featuring solid instrumentation and great vocal production and delivery, the Lifeline is in two words, a rock band. In December, we had a featured interview with Violinist Rebecca Faber, where she discussed what has been going on with the group and what they are up to.[link] Interview with Rebecca Faber

What they were able to accomplish as a band in 2008 is quite impressive.

Headline the biggest clubs in the city? Why not.

Critically acclaimed music video? Check

Having their song, Romeo and Juliet, added to the number one alternative station in Chicago (Q101)? Yes sir! (or ma’am)

Play on national television? Done and done.  (Well, if you want to get technical, they play today on WGN Television’s morning news)

But accomplishments aside, this is a band that never rests. Extremely determined, they have taken their music to new levels recently. They were brought to the attention of Q101 radio personality Ryan Manno, and he has helped expose The Lifeline to a much larger audience on his program, Crash Test Radio.  With new music on the horizon sometime in 2009, look for big things to happen for this group.
