Greetings everyone!
Here are some of the things that are going on this fine morning, April 4th, 2008.
The massive tanker fire that happened on Lemont Rd and I-55 in Darien will keep the ramps to Lemont Rd closed through tomorrow morning. As someone who used to take 55 on a regular basis, this is going to be a nightmare for the rush hour tomorrow morning. The smoke stack was pretty impressive from my location yesterday in Bolingbrook. Hopefully this situation will be cleared sometime tomorrow. It was much worse, but not nearly as cool as the beer truck tipping over on I-55 two days ago!
This article will make the Cubs fans happy. St Louis Cardinals sellout streak ends at 365. Oh, it’s the little victories in life when you are a Cubs fan, who as we all know, lost yesterday.
Speaking of Cubs, notorious White Sox fan and favorite of this website, Richard Roeper of the Sun-Times, talks about how the Cubs are being picked by many to win the World Series. But the reason I liked the article was his inclusion of the words ‘weak-ass’.
Jim DeRogatis makes another horrible review of a rock record. This is a recurring theme of his writing. He is an example of someone who was relevant once still thinking he has sway over the record buying public. But we see through his bullshit.
Finally, if you are out of shape and think you are less of a man, we have proof you’re not!
Allision Payne is back at her trusty post at WGN after an illness. Welcome back!
