Riot Fest 2012 is a Success!

Riot Fest 2012 in Chicago was a rockin’ good time! The three-day music festival, held September 14-16 at Humboldt Park, featured a diverse lineup of punk, rock, and alternative bands.

The festivities kicked off on Friday with performances by punk rock legends Descendents, The Offspring, and Pennywise. The energy was high as fans sang along to hits like “Come Out and Play” and “Bro Hymn.”

Saturday’s lineup was just as impressive, with sets by alternative rockers The Cure and The Flaming Lips. The Cure, who haven’t played a festival in the U.S. in over a decade, brought their signature moody sound to the stage, while The Flaming Lips put on an energetic and visually stunning performance.

Sunday’s lineup was no slouch either, with performances by punk icons NOFX and Rancid, as well as indie rockers The Black Keys. The Black Keys closed out the festival with a hit-filled set that had the entire crowd dancing and singing along.

In addition to the music, Riot Fest also featured carnival rides, food vendors, and a variety of other activities for attendees to enjoy. It was a weekend full of good vibes, great music, and good times. Here’s hoping for another fantastic Riot Fest in 2013!
