Spy Bar – Concurrent Part of Chicago Nightlife

Spend more than a million dollars in luxury renovations and you too can become the owner of a true masses magnet. Indeed, the Spy Bar has generated much buzz since the last renovations, with its fancy indirect lighting, glass panels, oak floors or the nifty wood paneling. The 4,200 square foot below street level space can easily accommodate up to 300 people, which makes it perfect for impressive dancing weekends or socializing.

I was pleasantly surprised by the bathroom – cell usage, a parlour -like alcove between men & women. It’s a great oasis for girls’ talk and men’ introspection.

The owners have wisely invested in an expensive high tech sound system, adorning the party lovers with the latest house music spun by some of the best DJs in the area. It is a perfect spot for Chicago Nightlife. Don’t be fooled by the original brick walls, there’s nothing in the Spy Bar that doesn’t scream luxury.

The 4 am spot is frequented by sophisticated people in their 20’s or 30’s, looking for a good place to sip a funky cocktail and release some energy. Spy Bar is the right place to try out new, surprising cocktails, mainly because they are designed by former Metromix Best Bartender John Kinder. John was recently named Rising Star Bar Chef by StarChefs.com for creativity, so don’t expect the old fashioned drinks. Prepare to be dazzled by an extensive champagne list, complemented by delicious chocolates and truffles delivered straight from the Vosges Haut Chocolate laboratories.

Unique interior, top notch drinks delivered by an awarded bar chef and loud sexy music… that sounds like the perfect recipe for fun!
